Got your message on my blog. Well be here on Sunday 16th...afternoon and evening. We have a wedding Saturday 15th....Micky is best man.... so don't try to find us then! Let us know when you're coming and I'll get something ready.
I'm in Kent tomorrow and Monday.

I'm with you on Kiera Knightley. I thought she was awful as Elizabeth fact the whole film was awful.
I read "Atonement" so am I allowed to go and see the film? LOL
BTW your e-mail address that I have doesn't work for me!

i'm heeding your advice + will finish the book first. i'm in that 1st third stage with it right now + finding the publicity for the film a bit distracting! how gorgeous is that green dress?! x

Okay, I read the book first and then saw the the movie yesterday. I live in the U.S., Minnesota and we didn't get it in the theatre until the weekend.

I agree, the movei is awesome. It really is. I love the scene near the end where Robbie walks into that room with the movie playing and the lovers are embracing and kissing and he just stands there and looks at it. You know exactly what he is thinking. Poignant is all I can say to describe it.

A beautiful movie.

I also agree that the younger Briony was perfect. Although I think that Romola's face is too childish looking to play an adult role. She looks to weak to play Cee. But hey, that's just my opinion. :)

I started to read the book... twice. I just couldn't get past the first few chapters. I would love to read it, but unfortunately I have already watched the movie. However, the movie made me want to read the book- so perhaps if a book can inspire you to read the book, then it should be measured as a good movie. What do you think?
