Here is a bag I made for my knitting. The fabric is called Melrose Pony and is by Robert Kaufman, but unfortunately is no longer available. I managed to get enough to get a blind made for the hallway and a cushion for my living room. It reminds me of Orla Kiely fabric, but without the crazy price tag.
I've taken inspiration from various other bloggers who have made tissue holders and made up a couple from some scraps of material. I didn't follow any of the tutorials but I think they're relatively easy to make. They're very useful too with this rotten cold I've got at the monent. I've had one on and off for the last two months and I'm not happy. After waiting two hours at the doctor's surgery yesterday, I finally managed to scrounge some antibiotics as I have enflamed sinuses, ears and blood vessels!! Nice.
But I digress.
Here is also a picture of my first scarf! It's not very long unfortunately as I ran out of the wool, but short and sweet still keeps me warm. I love the yarn so much and it tucks perfectly into my collar.
I hope to move on to something a little more ambitious soon. The gorgeous stuffed toys which Stephanie sometimes makes are very tempting, although I have no little child to make one for!
I apologise for not managing to do a Film Friday last week. Time was of the essence and I had run out of that essence. Greg berated me for not getting round to it. Can you believe it - I have a husband who nags me to blog!!
